520 $a The issue of high school dropout is a result of many factors stemming from the issue of racially and economically segregated neighborhoods throughout the United States especially in Kansas City, Missouri. More importantly, a disparity exists between minorities, especially African Americans and whites in the rates of high school dropout. The purpose of my thesis is to examine if race median household income or both are related to high school dropout rates.
