520 $a The findings suggest that workcamp is, indeed, a valid illustration of a service-learning venue as participants were able to articulate significant experiences of learning from the context. Workcamp, as a model of service-learning, affirms that the boundaries of learning need not be those of the four walls of a classroom and that the breadth of the learning experience serves to enhance the breadth of learning experienced by the learner. Workcamp also stands as an illustration of a short-term missions experience that functions not as an isolated experience, but rather, as one part of a greater whole in the ongoing ministry of a church.
