This qualitative study examines three middle school library media centers in Washington. A range of settings, from rural to suburban, was selected. Comparably sized schools and recent state test scores were also used to determine sites. Administrators' perceptions of the library media program support of student learning and library media specialists' support of teachers and students' learning were in agreement with each other. Commonalities were found in both the library media programs and the principals' perceptions on library media programs. These commonalities led to insights about facilitating a stronger library media program for the school the author serves.
