An analysis of the data mirrored what the researcher had found most frequently in the literature, that there is a strong correlation between the arts and artists' involvement in the learning process and student achievement and motivation to learn. The contribution of the artists included a hands-on component in the learning process, a relation to cultural aspects, and the use of innovative and creative skills in the comprehension of the lessons. In particular, engagement was heightened by utilizing a hands-on activity as part of the instructional lesson. Not only were students highly motivated but also the hands-on component aided students with different learning styles.
