520 $a Along with social changes and increasing standards of education, the life span of people is gradually increasing. In Taiwan, the population of senior citizens has grown rapidly, indicating that the life expectancy is also increasing. According to government officials, the care services for seniors will increase. Due to varying conditions within different cultures and nations, seniors had different attitudes and perceptions regarding Long Term Care (LTC) service systems. It was the different attitudes and perceptions that made this an important discussion. Three key issues that were examined in this study are: Traditional Culture, Government Policies and Employment and Income. The study implemented a correlation research design, using a questionnaire to determine which factor had the greatest affect on the attitudes and perceptions of Taiwan's senior citizens toward LTC service systems: Traditional Culture (TC), Employment and Income (EI), or Governmental Policies (GP). According to the research results, the attitudes and perceptions of Taiwan's senior citizens regarding assistance from long-term care service systems were shown to have a positive relationship with the cultural dimension and employment and income dimension. On the contrary, a negative relationship was shown for the governmental policy dimension. In conclusion, the attitudes and perceptions of Taiwan's seniors regarding assistance from long-term care service systems, the cultural dimension, employment and income dimension, and governmental policy dimension should be considered when planning.
