This thesis explores the confluence of spiritual awakening and psychological growth in the context of Eastern mystical thought and C. G. Jung's psychological concepts. Sourcing Jung's (2009), exploration of soul and his paintings from The Red Book, and within the framework of a phenomenological, heuristic research method, the psychospiritual nature of analytical psychotherapy is elucidated. Numinous attainment, posited as a portal to individuation and Self-realization, is amplified through Jungian, depth, and imaginal psychology, showing that numen can be captured through art and used therapeutically in the quest of making the unconscious conscious. Through the processes of befriending, personification, and active imagination, credence is given to images and symbols as emissaries of soul. Beholding the numinous realm allows that which is sacred and divine to be accessed, integrated, and actualized in everyday life, and the opus of Self-realization is anointed through the prism of human experience.{A0}
