The purpose of this grant proposal was to seek funding for the establishment of an empowered support group for young adult women, ages 18-35, who have experienced childhood sexual abuse. The support group is for individuals in Orange County and surrounding communities. Through reviewing literature focused on women who had been sexually abused as children, mental health outcomes, and evidence-based interventions, this grant writer proposed and developed an empowered support group for women survivors of childhood sexual abuse. This grant writer examined various funding sources, choosing RALIANCE Foundation as the final funder. Due to the funder's mission and values for caring and supporting sexual assault survivors and ending sexual violence, RALIANCE was determined to be the best fit for this proposed group. The actual submission and funding of this grant were not required for the successful completion of this academic thesis.
