This study examined the relationship between Law Enforcement Officer's Perceptions of their leader's Full Range Leadership style (transformational, transactional, passive-avoidant) while controlling for age, gender, tenure, and level of law enforcement. The purpose of this study is to explore whether the perceived Full Range Leadership styles of the law enforcement leaders influences the subordinates Organizational Commitment when controlling for age, gender, tenure, and level of law enforcement. The author tested a sample of 168 active law enforcement officers from city, county, state, and federal agencies. The participants were asked to rate their leaders' leadership style and rate their own organizational commitment. The results provided support for the positive effect of transformational leadership on affective and normative commitment. LEO's tenure also had a significant effect on normative commitment.
