The ultimate goal of the author's pursuit of physics is to understand the universe, which is of quantum nature. The main body of this dissertation consists of three parts: some pioneering works on the theoretical foundations of quantum machine learning, some early explorations on the topic of the black hole information paradox, and miscellaneous works regarding topological error correcting codes, complexity, and Markov chains. In this introduction, we provide some overview and outlook of the topics covered in the dissertation.
