As a native Taiwanese, this project is for readers like myself who are interested in Taiwan's history and taste development. Food has traditionally been used to express culture. It has preserved culture. Every nation's food incorporates its culture. How can food affect cultural identity? Taiwanese family dinners represent our diverse immigration culture. Any dish's roots reveal Taiwan's colonial heritage. This effort aims to help the future generation understand Taiwan's complex history through its foods' stories. Food history is unknown to many of us. I can't describe Taiwanese food. It's important to teach the future generation about our area's past to preserve our culture. This project introduces Taiwanese culture and helps me understand who I am and how my memories relate to history and culture. I want to know how food affects others, what it means, and how it has shaped me.My project is a zine. The book discusses five foods I value. I write about my relationship with the cuisines and why I appreciate them. My book mainly featured meals from my favorite cuisines. This book helps me comprehend eastern family dynamics, how food binds generations, and why we should take it seriously to understand our roots and identity.
