Global dynamics have impacted the efficacy of organizational hiring practices in identifying qualified candidates. During the research study, talent management (TM), the personorganization (P-O) fit theory, the person-job (P-J) fit theory, and the person-environment (P-E) fit theory were the theoretical frameworks used in the research study. The purpose of this qualitative case study was to explore factors associated with approaches to integrate managerial experiences, observations, and perceptions to improve the hiring process. The research question that guided this study was: "How can integrating managerial experience, observations, or perceptions help improve the hiring process?" The sample for the study was comprised of eight participants - men and women across differing industries. Each participant had managerial experiences and interacted with the human resource department throughout the hiring process. The researcher used third-party referral and snowball sampling methods to identify and recruit the participants. The interviews were conducted telephonically and recorded with digital recording devices, and the researcher individually transcribed the interview sessions. The study used a multiple-case study that applied within-case and cross-case analyses as an analytical framework. The analysis revealed four themes: improved HR and managerial knowledge of the job for selection, improved HR department and managerial collaboration, improved HR and managerial knowledge of organizational culture, and improved HR and managerial knowledge of the job and workplace environment. In addition, the findings identified that integrating managerial experiences, observations, and perceptions with the HR department improves the hiring process to identify the most qualified candidates.
