Charleston County is facing hazards and disasters that continue to increase in frequency and severity with climate change. South Carolina's Lowcountry population will see these impacts become more threatening in the community within the next 50 years. As the county's population rapidly increases three times as fast as other U.S. cities, more citizens are going to be put at risk. As this multifaceted issue continues, it is imperative to plan and assess to mitigate and adapt to the ever-changing environment. To be able to successfully plan and implement plans, it is essential to know the current state of the resources available in Charleston County. However, there is a breakdown in knowledge sharing between public, private, and not for profit organizations. The breakdown limits the capacity to understand Charleston County's resilience against hazards and disasters. The purpose of the research was to navigate different silos to identify all resources available, and show what it has to offer in the face of adversity. A survey conducted with organizations that serve Charleston County to gain insights on the type of resilience resources they offer the community. The responses were analyzed and then mapped on ArcGIS online. With the results, it is better understood where the gaps and saturations are within the available resources to the county. The results were used to make recommendations for the development of the lacking resources. This map serves as a public resource map for the county, to allow everyone to see what resources are available and access contact information for organizations. This work may have applicability to the geographic community, but may be replicated and networked across many communities. Exploring impetus for resilience and use of various methodologies to explore the variables might guide how communities can thrive.
