The purpose of this research was to analyze the security protections of users on dating applications (apps) in relation to Game Theory and in connection to data breaches. The researcher used Game Theory to demonstrate users of online dating apps and app developers as defensive players and the attackers or cyber-stalkers as offensive players. Dating apps are not safe from data breaches or data leaks. The research provided in this Capstone paper discusses the security risks associated with the use of dating apps and how users of dating apps can protect themselves if app developers prove to have inadequate security measures.
