The low-shear-rate viscosities of Polyethylene Glycol(PEG)-CO$\\sb2$ and Polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)-CO$\\sb2$ solutions were measured over a range of pressures (1-8 MPa) and temperature (30-60$\\sp\\circ$C). The results of PEG-CO$\\sb2$ solutions showed the interesting observations as follows: In the high range of volume fraction of polymer, $\\phi\\sb{\\rm p}$, or at low pressures, the plasticization effect is stronger than that of the pressure, the solution viscosity decreases as more CO$\\sb2$ dissolves in the polymer. At higher pressures, the viscosity reduction reverses and the viscosity of PEG-CO$\\sb2$ solutions increases. For PEG-CO$\\sb2$ solutions, photon correlation spectroscopy (PCS) was used to determine the viscosities based on measuring diffusivities of suspended colloidal particles. Assuming spherical particles and knowing the size of particles, the Stokes-Einstein relation was employed to find the medium viscosity. For PDMS-CO$\\sb2$ solutions, the viscosities were measured by using a specially designed falling ball viscometer (FBV). The Stokes equation was used to determine the viscosities. The Kelley-Bueche (K-B) free volume treatment of the viscosities of polymeric solutions was modified to account for gas solvents and applied to interpret our data on PEG-CO$\\sb2$ and PDMS-CO$\\sb2$ solutions. It was shown that the theoretical equation, based on the assumption of the additivity of free volumes of the components, was capable of predicting with excellent accuracy the concentration, temperature and pressure dependence of the viscosities of the investigated polymeric solutions. The reversal of viscosity reduction observed in the experimental data is predicted by the modified K-B theory. For PEG-CO$\\sb2$ solution, in the low range of $\\phi\\sb{\\rm p}$ (or at high pressures), however, there is a notable deviation between the theory and experimental data. It is suspected that aggregation of particles plays an important role and systematically affects these viscosities determined from PCS measurement.
