當高中的課程翻轉,「核心素養」成為十二年國教課綱發展的主軸。如何打破「學科知識」為學習唯一的範疇,已成為未來教育的趨勢與挑戰,而提到未來社會的需要,美感素養成為國家競爭培力之一,美感教育課程相關計畫也如火如荼的展開,承當前現狀,藝術領域如何藉由這一波課程改革,在部定必修與加深加廣選修外,也能藉由藝術與生活寬廣的領域範疇,以真實生活與美感素養,建構與其他學科的整合力,一方面達到美感素養力的可能外,一方面也能在新課綱高中學習地圖中,提供有別於必修、加深加廣選修外的試探與自主與統整力的學習空間。本研究者透過任教中正高中期間,協助擘劃前導計畫高中課程地圖的機會,以生活美感為題,建構高一多元選修的課程,透過目前已進入大學領域的五名選修該課程學生、當時領導學習地圖擘劃的校長、觀察學生學習的班級導師,以及校內教職員工等八位研究對象,透過文獻、訪談與文件檔案的蒐集方式取得資料後,歸納出高中多元學習的新領域中,美感課程可以展現的試探學習可能。.
