The researcher examines data collected via survey interviews from clinical professionals that actively engage in care with the transgender community. Documenting lived experiences between clinicians and transgender patients uncovers approaches to enhance mutual understanding and open communication. Creating an environment of support for the emerging transgender population entering health care improves engagement and ensures quality care delivery. Through individual interviews/surveys submitted by different clinical professionals, the researcher examines providers' best practices in actively caring for transgender patients (adults and adolescents) and the different approaches implemented to engage and empower the population to communicate healthcare needs openly. By exploring organizational change theory and phenomenology, the researcher encourages clinicians to implement the techniques that enhance patient-physician communication to support quality care for the transgender community.
