The advancement of technology has come to pass by the age of the current museum world. The main focus of museums is to preserve historical and cultural important items and use them to educate the public. The current standards in museums has not kept up with the changing of time and the use of technology. This paper will look at and discuss the different ways museums and collections have been trying to fit in the digital age. The plans that have been made to do so have their pros and cons which will also be discussed further. There will also be a discussion on some of the major issues that museums currently dealing with. The current goal of museums is to find their spot in the Digital age and to keep the roles of educator and authority on cultural and historical artifacts.
