In the era of the global epidemic, with the trend of virtual work and learning, people's expectations and requirements for indoor space are gradually increasing and constantly changing. By seeing it as an inspiration to look back at the relationship between people and space, we will find that the expectation changes all the time based on natural and humanistic environments. However, in the limited living environment, the dynamic demand is usually unsatisfied: our infrastructure has a low sense of engagement. The reality is that we usually design buildings in a way that is separate from the environment. We've made countless static structures, every building is expensive and inert. Although we continuously embed new technology into the interior (such as air conditioning), trying to push the building to adapt to changes, we are actually strengthening the isolation of the building itself. So, two questions are raised: should we think of adaptability more carefully? Should architecture and interior space take dynamic as an integral part to adapt to development? The disadvantages of a completely static structure can be summarized as inflexibility. The flexibility is discussed from two aspects: the static aspect - reflected in the life cycle of a building. How can old buildings adapt and accommodate the new development in order to serve users? The dynamic aspect is reflected in the use of space function, how to maximize the utilization of space. This means our infrastructure should not continue to be a static place but should contain dynamic elements while having a static structure. To adapt to the dynamic society, it needs to have a certain degree of flexibility, adaptability, and changeability.Adaptability is not only about the study of the physical space of architecture but also about the human needs. It is a design idea that learns the relationship between architecture and nature, society, history, culture, etc. Therefore, it can be understood as a functional replacement for the required changes. Architecture is not only an enclosure of space, it is more like an organism - a dynamic system: coexist of openness and autonomy. Therefore, through the replacement of functions, the life cycle of the building can be extended and value can be maximized.Secondly, the physical dynamic elements in architecture have been noticed by many architects in history, from Archigram and Ant Farm's breakthrough dynamic thinking, to the "trans-era" Metabolism architecture movement originating in Japan. The "elastic infrastructure" based on responsive flexible architecture will become the new normal. Therefore, the future space design will be a combination of a dynamic system and dynamic elements. Giving the building flexible and efficient nature while inserting dynamic elements into the static infrastructure. Firstly, these changeable parts contain interactivity, which connects with users and the surrounding through daily activities. It strengthens the sense of participation of people in the interior of buildings and the participation of buildings in the urban surrounding - emphasizing the identity of space. Secondly, the dynamic elements extend the life cycle of buildings and give users the power to change their spaces.
