This book is an inquiry into the history of the concept of empathy. Using a strong trans-disciplinary approach at the crossroads of neurosciences, psychology and sociology, the author provides insights of possible application of the empirical research, making this work useful to scholars as well as people outside the academia. - Prof. Gabriele Balbi, University of Italian Switzerland, Switzerland.
