This thesis focuses on peoples' behavior of recording their life experiences through various sensors and devices, which is namely, lifelogging. Based on the significance of lifelogging to human beings, this thesis probes into the design principles of its application, and the solutions of visualizing lifelogging data from the angle of information design, while aiming at injecting a new perspective into the application design of lifelogging.Starting from the definition and the origin of lifelogging, this thesis studies the data source and data type generated by collecting devices while discussing the value and significance of the lifelogging application, and analyzes its challenges and opportunities. In a case study, based on the summary of the 5Rs (Recollecting, Reflecting, Reminiscing, Remember- ing Intentions, Retrieving) proposed by Sellen and Whittaker (2010) and the design principles created by Gurrin et al. (2008) and Doherty et al. (2013), theoretical model is built for designing a lifelogging application. Then, based on this model, my own music, health and photo data are applied into it to propose a solution for designing a new application, which named as "Mylifelogin".The design flow of the application is based on the model "ISO 13407 Human-centered design processes for Interactive Systems" proposed by Tom Stewart et al. (1999). Firstly, the user scenarios and user requirements are summarized in using lifelogging application, two main user scenarios (searching and browsing) and five user requirements are extracted from the 5Rs. Secondly, combining these two, the said theoretical model is built, and a concept map of the main interfaces and functions of "Mylifelogin" is constructed. After that, combing through my data sources, my datasets of music, photo and health are collected and cleaned, and then brought into "Mylifelogin" for design practice. Afterward, its design solutions are discussed in detail from the angle of 5Rs, and the options of visualizing lifelogging data are explored from the information design perspective. Finally, I gathered feedback for the design solutions, further revised and adjusted the design according to the feedback, and put forward the directions for future studies.

应用的设计流程依据了Tom Stewart et al.(1999)所提出的 "ISO 13407 Human-centered design processes for interactive systems" 。 .
