The goal of this study was to examine two of the most famous artists of the 20th century, Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali. Through an exploration of their lives, their artworks, and the strengths of their artistic production, we will attempt to discover why they both achieved fame and fortune during their lifetimes and how their lives affected future artists and art history. This study will also discuss art economics to better understand how valuation practices of art in the 20th century. Additionally, this paper will include timeline of important moments in the lives of the artists as well as images mentioned in the paper.
