The project director desires to develop a strategy for creating an evangelism culture at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Creating an evangelistic culture requires a thorough knowledge of evangelism and culture. The project director learned how to change long time beliefs and core values effectively. The success of a cultural change depends upon factors such as the leadership style of the project director, the discovery of the church's core values, and methods to effectively create the change.Chapter 1 contains the project director's proposal and the factors that underlie the need for a change in Oak Grove's culture. This chapter entails the purpose of the project, the ministry objectives, key assumptions, limits, delimits, the project rationale, the project description, a definition of terms, research design, and a proposed timetable. Chapter 1 provides the foundation for the project.Chapter 2 establishes the biblical foundation for the development of a strategy for creating an evangelism culture. The project director focuses on Matt 29:19-20 and Acts 1:6-8, 2:42-47 to garner scriptural principles for an evangelistic culture. The gospel provides direction and motivation to create an evangelistic culture.Chapter 3 purveys the importance of a culture of evangelism in the local church.Through the study of books and surveys, the project director elucidates the importance and the heart of an evangelistic culture. Also, the project director recognizes the characteristics and the goal of an evangelistic culture; he explores contemporary insights of evangelism, researches the components and benefits of a culture of evangelism, and studies hindrances to creating a culture of evangelism. In chapter 4, the project director identifies the steps to create a culture of evangelism in a local church. The project director read and studied books related to ways to change the culture in an organization and identified the steps of churches for creating a culture of evangelism. The project director identified dangerous substitutes for a culture of evangelism, and he worked with a selected expert team and a practitioner team to obtain input and to provide qualitative analysis of the project. The project director received valuable information for determining the key steps for creating a culture of evangelism in a local church. The project director identified dangerous substitutes for a culture of evangelism. In chapter 5, the project analysis phase, the project director provides the results of the qualitative analysis from two different teams-the expert team and the practitioner team. The expert team evaluated the project through a questionnaire that the project director prepared. The expert team gave valuable input into the project and gave their expert approval for the project. The practitioner team evaluated the project through a separate list of questions designed to garner their ways of developing an evangelistic culture in their churches. The practitioners shared the background of their churches, the need for an evangelistic culture, the steps they took to create a change in their churches their process of developing the strategy, and the results of their actions to create an evangelistic culture. The project director included the team's input into the development of the strategy. In chapter 5, the project director included the lessons he had learned and suggestions for further implementation of the project.
