Current research reveals that servant leadership has a positive correlation with job satisfaction in industries such as medical, education (university, secondary, and elementary levels), for-profit and not for-profit, business, and military. However, there was a gap in the study of servant leadership and its relationship to job satisfaction in US Army organizations. The purpose of this quantitative and cross-sectional designed study was to examine the level of servant leadership in Army organizations and determine its relationship with job satisfaction. The Organizational Leadership Assessment was used with four Army organizations to draw empirical data for the examination. The two variables, servant leadership and job satisfaction, within an Army organizational context created the theoretical framework for the study. Previous studies have revealed positive correlations between servant leadership and job satisfaction. Correlations between variables do not necessarily indicate that one of the variables causes the other variable. Rather, the correlation points to a measurable relationship between the variables. The results of this study indicated a significant relationship between servant leadership and job satisfaction in the participating Army organizations. The significance of this study is that empirical data now exists of Army organizations that indicate a positive relationship between servant leadership and job satisfaction.
