The purpose of this research was to examine the relationship between follower's perceptions of leader's Authentic Leadership Behaviors and followers' self-rated Organizational Citizenship Behavior among professionals in Texas. Texas will be looking towards developing leaders that personify a reflection of Texas' values, culture, and way of life. Research finds that Authentic Leadership predicts a multitude of follower behaviors this study sought to focus on followers' perceptions of a leader's Authentic Leadership as it predicted followers' Organizational Citizenship Behaviors. The instruments of Authentic Leadership Inventory (ALI), and the Organizational Citizenship Behavior Checklist (OCB-C) provided valid and reliable measurements of leadership and followership ratings. Participants in this research study completed an electronic version of the instruments in the data collection of the research sampled by convenience in Texas. The results served as a contribution to the literature, showing that certain job sectors displayed higher civic virtue among others. Furthermore, this study failed to yield a relationship between Authentic Leadership and Organizational Citizenship Behaviors as perceived by followers, it is interesting to note follower demographics showed predictors in every sub-facet of their self-rated Organizational Citizenship Behaviors. Finally, this study showed that perhaps certain Job Sectors serve customers and clients, may be more sensitive to other's needs.
