The present case study explores the relationships between female leaders and non-leaders of a predominantly female lead human service organization and leadership self-efficacy, sex-role identification, sex-role egalitarianism and gender preference for a leader. A convenience sample of 95 female workers completed the Leadership Self-Efficacy Scale, Bem Sex-Role Inventory and Sex-Role Egalitarianism Scale as well as a Background Questionnaire. Results indicate leadership self-efficacy and sex-role egalitarianism may be associated with organizational position.
