Obesity has become a worldwide epidemic. An increasing number of patients are undergoing weight loss procedures, resulting in an increase in patients with massive weight loss desiring body contouring surgeries. These patients can present with very challenging deformities of skin laxity, and are at higher risk of complications. Most texts only provide a chapter with basic descriptions of procedures for managing moderate deformities, with short discussions of complications.
