This study of the strength of an art infused instructional approach to fifth grade Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) testing scores in reading achievement indicated how the arts impact students' learning. This study identified whether an art infused instructional approach would in fact strengthen student performance in a core subject. Academic progress of individual students is a prominent topic in schools, including the goal of providing effective instructional interventions for students. Instructional practices are learning objectives between the teacher and student. Objectives that educators accommodate for the purposes of diversity. There is a deficiency in the understanding of the importance of accommodations that must be made for students to become successful achievers. Public school educators are constantly stressed at demonstrating student achievement due to a system of evaluation that judges teacher effectiveness based on the achievement of test standards.
