This qualitative exploratory study, using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), augments and extends previous studies into Behavioral Integrity (BI). Semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with eight managers of varying seniority in government, corporate, and small-business organizations located in various locations across the United States. In this digital era, each employed manager and each follower of a manager does so remotely using digital tools and emerging media platforms. However, managers also led and followed in the pre-digital era in the 1980s, and the question arises as to what extent the current emerging media and technology have affected leadership, particularly as leadership is influenced by perception of behavioral integrity. The hermeneutic circle interview technique was used to encircle the phenomenon of communicating behavioral integrity in remote environments where emerging media were employed. A team of coders used various coding techniques to identify themes and variables that could influence its perception. The researcher connected the themes into two conceptual gestalts and proposed further quantitative research using the discovered variables.
