The action research study identifies civilians' perceptions of U.S. Army Non-Commissioned Officers. An intervention was implemented to determine, if given instruction about specific duties and actions of U.S Army offices the civilians' perceptions were modified. The purpose of this qualitative study was to document the perceptions and conduct informational sessions of National Security Agency (NSA) civilians. Access to the entire population was not possible; therefore, convenience samples of both were selected. NSA civilians were interviewed. Each participant was interviewed with three research questions, prior to and following the intervention implementation. The study findings confirmed the researcher's assumptions, that many NSA civilians considered U.S. Army Non-Commissioned Officers less intelligent and less educated than civilians. In addition, the study found that NSA civilians were not aware of U.S. Army Non-Commissioned Officers' level of achievement or the many educational opportunities available to U.S. Army Non-Commissioned Officers. After the intervention and reevaluation, the participants' perspectives were modified to understand U.S. Army Non-Commissioned Officer's educational attainment.
