A search for new physics phenomena is performed in all-hadronic signatures in sqrt (s) = 8 TeV pp collisions using an integrated luminosity of 20.3 fb-1 collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. Specific models are used to concretely interpret these model-independent results. Within the context of sup ersymmetry, gluino pair-production gives rise to a multijet final state in models that allow for violation of R-parity. Two types of spectra are evaluated -- those that have an effective gluino decay to jets and those in which the lightest supersymmetric particle is a neutralino through which a gluino will cascade into a higher jet multiplicity. Events are required to contain a tunable number of jets above a tunable momentum threshold. An additional requirement identifying a certain number of these jets as having originated from a b-quark is applied to probe exclusive flavor coupling hypotheses. A counting experiment is performed and results are presented for all possible R-parity violating branching fractions of gluino decays to various quark flavors. In a model where pair-produced gluinos each decay into three light-flavor quarks, exclusions of m_g˜ < 8S3 GeV (expected) and m_g˜ < 917 GeV (observed) are placed at the 95% confidence level. Alternately, for a model where each gluino decays into one b-jet and two light quarks, exclusions of m_g˜ < 921 GeV (expected) and m_g˜ < 929 GeV (observed) are set. Limits are also set for decay modes to a variety of other flavors as well as for decay modes through an intermediary neutralino, which leads to ten-quark final states. All of these results represent the strongest direct limits on such models to date.
