The purpose of this dissertation is to synchronically examine the morphological aspects of the youth vernacular of recently arrived Germans from Russia currently residing in Bayreuth, Germany on the basis of representative phonetic samples. Emphasis will focus on descriptive word-formational morphology of this sociolect as well as on the influences of anglicisms, pop culture and Franconian dialectal and colloquial borrowings.

520 $a Chapter 4 is a concise chronological overview of Bayreuth and the Germans from Russia who have recently returned to their ancestral homeland.
520 $a Chapter 5 is a diatopical discussion of the Upper Franconian dialect indigenous to this region as well as the linguistic coloration it tends to bestow on the ideolects of German immigrants from Russia.
520 $a Chapter 6 is concerned with the phonetic data recorded in the inventory. Chapter 7 concentrates on specific individual variations in articulation.
520 $a Chapter 8 is a succinct introduction to morphemics and defines the linguistic termini referred to throughout this dissertation.
