The purpose of this study was to look at the relationship between Allen and Meyer's (1990) three dimensions of organizational commitment (affective, continuous, and normative), perceived organizational support and trust on staffing in the hospitality industry. There were 144 participants in this study, 21 were males and 115 were females (8 did not indicate gender). Of the 144 participants, 66 worked in the hospitality industry. Participants were given a 35 question survey that included: Allen and Meyer's affective, continuance, and normative commitment scales; perceived organizational support scale; trust scale; and several demographic questions. The results from this study show significant predictors for affective commitment were perceived organizational support, trust, hospitality, and age. Working in the hospitality industry was positively correlated with affective commitment. Significant predictors for normative commitment were trust and working in hospitality. Tenure and gender were negatively correlated with normative commitment.
