This essay documents the creative process of making The Voice of a Fish, my thesis film. In retrospect, I realize that the production of this film is part of a deeper artistic journey, on which I embarked in the two-year MFA in Film Production program at York University This essay is a journal of the filmmaking process of The Voice of the Fish; I believe its chronology helps to capture the essence of what I have learned during the Master's program.

520 $a In the following chapters, which document each phase of the film production (Screenwriting, Development, Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production), I have detailed the technical problems and challenges that I encountered. On a deeper level, I also speak of the artistic struggles and difficulties that I faced when, for the first time in my life, I embraced the moral weight of. creating something completely from scratch. Making a fiction film means creating a world, characters and stories that did not exist before, a world, for which I take full responsibility. This essay tries to document the internal conflicts that arose when facing that responsibility.
