Still Life is a short film about a young widower deciding his next step in life after losing his job, wife, and possibly his home in one of the poorest places in the country -- the Arkansas Delta. The film was completed as a graduate thesis film for the University of Central Arkansas Digital Filmmaking Master of Fine Arts program, and was filmed entirely in Southeast Arkansas with a crew of student filmmakers and a cast from around the state. This final proposal outlines and discusses the original and final visions for the film, as well as the director's artist's statement.
