Latino students have the highest dropout rate of all racial groups in the United States. A literature review is conducted to bring together findings on how the school system contributes to the incidence of Latino dropout from high school. Common realities of the Latino population are also mentioned to place risk factors of Latino dropout into context. Finally, suggestions are made as to how various school practices can increase Latino students' graduation from high school.
