TNP's interpretive objectives and goals were examined through interviews with park personnel. The Superintendent's statement served as the standard against which the others were compared.

The survey revealed the topic interests and media preferences for both foreign and Taiwanese visitors were slightly different, however, the "top four choices" were almost identical. The study also showed that sociodemographic factors (gender, age, education, and income) have no association with satisfaction for foreign visitors. However, for Taiwanese visitors age, education, and income were associated with satisfaction. Level of education was the only sociodemographic factor associated with knowledge gained for both foreign and Taiwanese visitors.

Knowledge Increase, Satisfaction, Number of Previous Visits, and Willingness to Come Back served as indicators of exhibit center effectiveness. There were no statistical differences in Satisfaction and Willingness to Come Back among Visitor Center, Pulowan Recreation Center and Lushui Geological Center for foreign visitors; while for Taiwanese Visitors, no significant difference occurred in the indicators of Willingness to Come Back and Number of Previous Visits among the three centers. Some statistically significant differences were found in other indicators among the three interpretive exhibit centers.
