The beauty of the Internet is that information is no longer limited and everyone could be a publisher. The downside is that information reaches people in seconds no matter it is true or not.Subjects--Topical Terms:

This study seeks to determine if PR practitioners are aware of rumors on the Internet and if so, whether they are prepared to deal with them. Understanding how PR professionals are aware of rumors could help them better observe the impact that the Internet has caused upon practice and develop new ways of controlling rumors.
