Thesis (M.A.)--California State University, Long Beach, 2002.

The goal of this project was to present a dance concert that utilized all of the skills acquired through the curriculum offered in the Master of Arts in Dance, Option in Dance Education, degree program at California State University, Long Beach. The concert, <italic>Common Ground</italic>, was produced in collaboration with fellow Master of Arts candidate Lori Bryhni and took place at the Modesto Junior College on January 26 and 27, 2001. Students enrolled in Modesto Junior College's dance production class took part in this project.

For this performance, the M.A. candidate choreographed two dances, <italic>Those Left Unsheltered</italic> and <italic>The Calm of Broken Warmth</italic>, supervised two student choreographed dances, <italic> No Longer Spoken</italic> and <italic>Breath Fisted</italic>, designed lights for <italic>No Longer Spoken</italic>, and designed costumes for <italic> Breath Fisted</italic>. This project report will reveal and reflect upon the process in detail.
