Thesis (Ph.D.)--University of Southern California, 2004.
In order to fully and practically analyze magnetic field shielding and management relative to power applications, this study focus on an the analytical development of two tasks. The first task requires a general analytical solution for estimating magnetic fields and shielding performance. The second task requires the development of applications that can utilize shielding mechanisms, shielding principles and shielding design guidelines. Formulas, principles and other results derived from substation shielding problems can be applied to any power system shielding Requirement.
