The study is written by a Korean missionary professional who addresses issues relevant to the actual needs of Korean missionary professionals. This is accomplished across a theologizing process that places missionary professionals in a hermeneutical community through case study, interview, and survey methods supporting a relevant theological method.

First, the study examines key ecclesiological factors---namely, the agent, goals, and the structure of mission, by addressing implications of the universal priesthood in the laos-driven church. Second, key vocational factors of direction, intensity, and station of vocation are articulated by suggesting a vocational vector model that enables missionary professionals to see their worldly profession as a valid and inseparable portion of their missional calling. Third, through a biblical and historical case study of missionary professionals, the significance of a harmonious integration of professional service in a mission praxis is revealed to promote ministerial efficacy and confidence in fulfilling evangelistic and social responsibilities. Fourth, standards for key factors of a conceptual framework for analyzing cases of Korean missionary professionals are addressed through case study interviews of six Western missionary professionals, who effectively served in Nepal for a long period. With this conceptual framework, a historical case study of Korean missionary professionals is presented to highlight general missiological issues from their ministries. Finally, crucial missiological factors affecting the ministry and self-understanding of Korean missionary professionals are examined based on an analysis of a questionnaire distributed to Korean and Western missionary professionals working in three Central Asian Republics.

In the conclusion, the study highlights three major issues: a discrepancy in understanding ecclesiological factors between missionary professionals and their home churches, a gap between their understanding and practice of vocational issues, and weaknesses in implementing holistic and integrational ministry in their mission praxis.
