Although professional literature indicates spirituality is an important component of a counseling relationship, there are currently no universal standards for the incorporation of spirituality within rehabilitation counseling. The purpose of this study was to examine differences in attitudes and beliefs about spirituality as measured by Spirituality Inventory and Beliefs Scale - Revised (SIBS-R) scores. Participants consisted of rehabilitation educators and professionals, all members of the National Council of Rehabilitation Education (NCRE) Listserv and/or the Regional Rehabilitation Continuing Education Program (RRCEP) Listserv. The current study sought to examine the status of spirituality in rehabilitation programs and the attitudes and beliefs about the spirituality of rehabilitation educators and professionals. Results, while of interest to the continuing study of spirituality within the field of rehabilitation, were found to be statistically insignificant.
