superconductor, a lot of attention has been given to the fabrication, the characterization, and the application of superconducting

rm YBa\sb2Cu\sb3O\sb{7-y}

thin films. Thin films of the high
$\
rm T\sb{c}
$
superconductor have a great importance in research, such as critical temperature, critical current density, microwave and infrared, and also in applications, such as FETs, SQUID, transmission lines, interconnectors, and Josephson junction based digital computer circuits.

In order to explore the superconducting properties, superconducting

multilayer thin films have been fabricated using pulsed laser deposition technique. A lot of superconducting properties are modified with multilayer structures, such as critical temperature, critical current density, thermally activated flux flow, flux creep, flux pinning, activation energy, and the anisotropy. We described these modification as a function of temperature, magnetic field, and layer thickness.

For the application of the superconducting

rm YBa\sb2Cu\sb3O\sb{7-y}

thin films, integration of these films with semiconductor and multilayers are important. The integration technique of
$\
rm YBa\sb2Cu\sb3O\sb{7-y}
$
superconducting thin films and semiconductors have been developed in our experiment. The
$\
rm YBa\sb2Cu\sb3O\sb{7-y}
$
superconducting thin film with double buffer layers shows very high quality with
$\
rm T\sb{c}
$
of 85.5 K on GaAs semiconducting substrate. It is essential to develop high quality superconducting thin films on semiconductor substrate without any substrate damage for the applications. Finally, we have proven that the GaAs substrate has been preserved in good condition after the processing of the superconducting thin film using interface analysis and photoreflectance.
