The purpose of this study was to provide information about levels of job satisfaction, career satisfaction, and job performance evaluation for participants in a Department of Labor H-1B Technical Skills Training Grant Program in Advanced Manufacturing. Participant characteristics of education level, job title, age, and salary were examined for differences in levels of job satisfaction, career satisfaction, and job performance evaluation before training, after training, as well as for changes from before to after training. A pre- post-experimental design was selected to test the major hypotheses. Participants and their supervisors were administered the same set of surveys for career satisfaction, job satisfaction, and job performance evaluation at the beginning and end of the training. A significant relationship between salary and career satisfaction before the training was found. A significant difference was found in the change of the supervisors' job performance evaluation of the participants regardless of characteristics. Job performance evaluations of participants improved. No other significant relationships or differences were found. A reasonable difference in career satisfaction change was found among the educational levels. Participants with a four year college degree became less satisfied after the training in comparison to participants with less than a four year college degree or participants with more than a four year college degree.
