Each medium is presented within a grid that overlaps needs with differing levels of abilities. The breakdowns of classes are multiply handicapped, emotionally disturbed (and underprovided), developmentally delayed, and students with intensive behavior management needs. The Guide also provides a rationale and purpose for the learning, elements and principles of art emphasized in each unit, and other considerations such as developmental level, drawing development level, emotional level, and fine/gross motor skills for students with varying abilities.
