The treatments were a training session executed performing squat lifts with 30% of 1RM and another performing counter movement jumps with the same amount of weight. Dependent variables for the study were: maximal voluntary contraction, power spectrum analysis of the EMG signal in the vastus medialis and rectus femoris muscle, integral EMG analysis of the vastus medialis and rectus femoris muscle. Dependent t-tests and MANOVA were computed as follow up to identify significant differences. The levels of statistical significance for the MANOVA and the dependent t-tests were set at p

This study did not find statistically significant differences between the two exercise training protocols utilizing the same load on neuromuscular fatigue patterns, so the null hypothesis was accepted. However, some differences identified without reaching statistical significance suggest the development of further analysis.
