The purpose of this quantitative study was to analyze the effects of four special education service delivery models for students identified as having an ED within an urban school district. The study aimed to determine whether or not students with ED benefit academically and behaviorally from one or more of the service delivery models. The study also looked to investigate certain variables to determine their relationship between students and service delivery models as well as external variable impact on academic achievement and behavioral outcomes. All data points associated with 203 students identified as having an ED who were receiving emotional support programming across four service delivery models were examined to find statistical relationships and to identify the most effective models for individual students and groups of students with ED. Hopefully, this school district and similar school districts can use the data to appropriately program for students with ED to increase academic achievement and avoid consequences such as drop out or worse a pipeline-to-prison (Unnever, Cullen, & Barnes, 2016; Christle, C., Jolivette, K., & Nelson, M., 2005).
