520 $a In his short, but well structured narrative production, the reader can appreciate a unity of themes, narrative techniques, literary motifs and images that appear with a certain consistency from his first novel to his most recent works. The most important themes are: solitude, the passage of time, man's marginality and his poetic vision of landscape. Llamazares' use of space and time and his autobiographism will be studied in the various genres he cultivates. As I focus on the originality of Julio Llamazares' literary production I will also characterize his works within the contemporary Spanish literature.
